Senior Fruit Ripening Specialist
Do you have a strong feeling for fruit quality and know exactly when a mango or avocado is perfectly ripe? Then we are looking for you as a Senior Fruit Ripening Specialist who, together with three other ripening specialists, is responsible for guiding and optimizing the ripening process of our products in our modern ripening rooms.
Who are we
We are TrofiPack, a modern packaging company specialized in exotic fruit. Since 2020 we have been located in Den Hoorn. Due to continuous growth we are expanding to 32,000 m² and investing heavily in modern automated packaging machines. We are also investing in advanced ripening rooms to further optimize the quality and ripening process of our products. We are an international team with mainly Dutch and Polish colleagues and employees from various other countries.
What will you do
- Monitor and control the ripening process of fruit such as mango and avocado
- Set and check ripening rooms
- Monitor temperature, humidity and gas levels
- Assess quality, colour and ripeness of products
- Work with logistics and production for planning
- Register data and follow IFS and HACCP guidelines
What do we ask
- Experience with fruit, produce or ripening processes is a plus
- Affinity with fruit and quality
- Quality conscious and accurate
- Able to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Dutch language is a plus; if you speak English you should be willing to learn Dutch
- Driving licence B
- Willingness to be available outside regular hours in case of emergencies
